RIVERS

The Elk River

The Elk river is located on the Oregon Coast between Gold Beach and Bandon, Oregon approximately 5 miles north of Port Orford. Fishing on the Elk is steelhead and chinook.

The Chetco River

The Chetco river is located 5 miles north of the Oregon Border on Highway 101 in the town of Brookings. The Chetco is a smaller, coastal river with approximately 15 miles of fishing access. Don't let its' size fool you. This is the favorite river of many of our guides. Trophy steelhead into the 20 pound category have been caught during winter fishing and chinook (king) salmon over 60 pounds have been landed here. The Chetco is a very well managed fishery and consistently has some of the most productive steelhead fishing on the North Coast. Like all free flowing rivers on the Coast, weather and water conditions can create quick changes in its' fishability. Free flowing rivers usually drop and clear quickly after winter storms and the Chetco is no exception. Usually 2-3 days after normal storms, the river is in perfect shape but it is always good to check the River Flow Charts.

The Pistol River

Between Brookings and Gold Beach, Oregon the pistol river is approximately 10 miles north of Brookings. The pistol offers chinook and steelhead fishing.

The Rogue River

The Rogue River is world renowned for its beauty, history, and salmon fishing. The Rogue River enters the Pacific Ocean at Gold Beach, Oregon 35 miles north of the California Border on Highway 101. Salmon fishing starts in July fishing the estuary as the migrating salmon enter the fresh water and prepare to head up stream to the spawning grounds. Fishing the estuary is most productive from a boat trolling spinners, bait, or other combinations. Shore fishing is limited by access but can also be productive. As the salmon move up stream so do the fishermen and guides. Cool temperatures on the coast to very warm temperatures inland makes the Rogue a great place for family and friends, as well as business and corporate groups.

The Sixes River

Also located on the Oregon Coast between Gold Beach and Bandon, the Sixes River is approximately 6 miles north of Port Orford. Sixes River fishing is for both steelhead and chinook.
